Important Read on the Congo

Don't miss this Op-Ed in the Washington Post today: The World Capitol of Killing, by Nicholas Kristof.

In this article he tells the story that you rarely hear: the story of the ongoing war in The Democratic Republic of the Congo. The suffering that takes place there is unimaginable. Often called The Rape Capitol of the World, in the Congo women are violently raped and men are killed by the militia, fueled by fueled by profits from mineral exports.

This Op-Ed is one of a series that Nicholas Kristof is writing about the violence in the Congo. It is refreshing to see a journalist covering the war-torn region.
