Join us on a call with Barney Frank - this Friday
By Ann Lewis on 07/27/2010 @ 04:00 PM
I invite you to be part of a very special conversation with Barney Frank – chairman of the House Financial Services Committee, leader in passing the financial reform bill just signed by President Obama – and yes, my brother.
So many of you have told me that you've seen Barney – on C-SPAN or on YouTube – and how much you appreciated his strong, progressive values and his sense of humor. Now is your chance to join this special conversation and ask him your questions.
This call is Friday, July 30th at 11:30am and it's just for members.
Just $35.00 gets you access to a series of conference calls with experts and policy makers on the most critical issues facing America today. Click here and become a member today.
Barney will talk about this historic legislation, designed to prevent the financial excesses that hurt America's economy and caused pain for too many. He'll answer your questions about financial reform, about the Congressional agenda, and what he hopes can be achieved this year.
The New York Daily News calls the financial reform bill "the toughest set of Wall Street regulations and consumer protections against greedy financial practices since the Great Depression." With billions of dollars at stake, and thousands of lobbying-hours against it, passage of the bill was not easy. Barney's leadership – including chairing a 48-hour conference committee that was televised on C-SPAN at his request – has won rave reviews.
I'm looking forward to our conversation on Friday, July 30th at 11:30am and I hope you are too. I know you'll enjoy it!
